All reeds are mailed with the 2nd wire out:This is my trademark!I do this because I make reeds in an area that is essentially reclaimed desert and they are shipped to climates totally unlike Southern California. A reed DOES dry out and go through other processes AFTER it is made. So, it is a REMINDER to you to make sure that both 1st and 2nd wires are SNUG,not tight, and never loose before you test the reed. Reeds are always shipped in a plastic vial---this is NO substitute for a proper bassoon reed case.
